NEW YORK and LONDON – September 12, 2023 –EdTech innovator BibliU today announced its partnership with Johnston Community College (JCC) to implement its Universal Learning solution and provide an affordable alternative to traditional textbooks.
JCC, located in one of the fastest-growing counties in North Carolina, is adopting the BibliU solution to provide first-day content access for its 13,000 students, lower costs, and improve student outcomes. Participating in BibliU enables JCC to provide a digital-first content model that lets students access their e-textbooks on any device and benefit from robust study tools.
“Our students were struggling with high textbook costs and often were not able to get their books by the first day of class,” said Dr. Vern Lindquist, president of JCC. “Partnering with BibliU provides the opportunity for our students to save money and have better access to the materials that will help them succeed.”
BibliU’s Universal Learning provides a more equitable, efficient learning system for students. It enables colleges such as JCC to offer affordable e-textbooks at scale and ensure that every student has seamless access to the materials they need to flourish.
“We feel privileged to be chosen as Johnston Community College’s partner in providing their students with course materials. Student success is as important to us as it is to Johnston Community College,” said Dave Sherwood, CEO at BibliU. “By providing first-day access to course materials at a low flat fee, we can fully support JCC’s mission to provide accessible, equitable, high-quality education to the communities they serve.”
