NEW YORK and LONDON – April 11, 2023 – BibliU, the EdTech innovator democratizing content accessibility, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shannon Meadows as Non-Executive Director (NED) and Carli Tegtmeier as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), responsible for global sales and marketing. The two appointees bring leadership acumen to their new roles at BibliU, having worked in senior sales positions at high-growth companies at pivotal times and nurturing their respective companies to key inflection points followed by a unicorn status.
Meadows’ primary initiative is to facilitate growth in the U.S. higher ed market through company sales efforts, partnerships and M&As. Tegtmeier's main objective will be driving 40% year-over-year growth for BibliU, primarily by increasing U.S. market share. She will also help roll out Engage, BibliU's eLearning content platform.
"Although we are sad to see Shannon leave BibliU as a full-time employee, we are excited to welcome her to our board of directors and tap into her vast network in the EdTech industry, which will put us in front of like-minded innovators and disruptors," said Dave Sherwood, CEO of BibliU. "We are also thrilled to have Carli leading our sales and marketing efforts – her passion for ensuring that every student has access to higher ed is matched by her vast sales experience, which will be incredibly beneficial as BibliU looks to expand its U.S. market presence. Their experience and expertise will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and grow our digital learning platform."
Meadows brings to BibliU's board of directors broad experience in the EdTech industry, having served as a senior executive at several leading organizations – including most recently as Chief Revenue Officer at BibliU. Previously, she was SVP, Business Development, at CourseSmart, VP of Sales Operations at Blackboard and Director, Education Sales, at Macromedia. She is leaving her position as BibliU CRO to pursue a Master of Fine Arts at Savannah College of Arts and Design, where she will study painting.
"I am a strong believer in BibliU's mission to reduce education costs for students, accelerate digital transformation for colleges and universities and improve social mobility for students to meet their educational goals," said Meadows. "I'm thrilled I can share my knowledge in EdTech and domain and situational fluency with the board, honed over more than two decades of working in the sector."
Tegtmeier joins BibliU with over a decade of experience in education technology, partnering with hundreds of North American colleges and universities. At Instructure, makers of Canvas, she helped to scale the business from startup through IPO. A recognized leader in sales, Tegtmeier was previously vice president of sales at Filevine, PAIRIN and Pronto, as well as at Instructure. She is an active member of the Women Tech Council and a mentor for Utah Women in Sales.
"I joined BibliU because of the company's mission to enable more equitable, effective and efficient learning for students," said Tegtmeier. "I am passionate about education and have spent most of my career improving social mobility through innovative technologies. BibliU is uniquely positioned to address an urgent market need and positively impact student outcomes. I'm ecstatic to join a team helping institutions innovate content delivery and ensure ALL students are set up for success from day one."
